Silat was an ancient martial arts that dominating the South East Asian several hundred years ago.Now this martial arts are very famous among us,the Malaysians.This legacy have been in our blood since the Indonesians introduced it to the Malay through the history of Parameswara who bought this martial arts from his empire,Sirvijaya.This martial arts is then well accepted by the Malayan till now.A year after the state of Malacca were established,UNESCO giving a token of honour to Silat as they highlighted silat as one of the most prestigious and well accepted martial arts across the globe.The most popular and oldest society of this Silat community is the 'Silat Gayung Pesaka'.
